March 13, 2012: Repeal Obamacare PAC Announces

First Endorsements for 2012

New York – Repeal Obamacare PAC, which endorses only conservative candidates who have pledged to vote to repeal the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” (Obamacare), has announced its first endorsements for the 2012 election cycle.  “These are all fantastic, reliably conservative candidates who deserve our support,” said ROCPAC Spokesman John Spencer.  “They’ll cast pivotal votes for a repeal of Obamacare. ROCPAC applauds and enthusiastically endorses all of these candidates.”

The candidates are:

Tom Cotton (Arkansas – 4th C.D.) -- Tom Cotton is a decorated U.S. Military veteran who has experience not only in active duty military service in Iraq, but in the private sector.  Cotton is an accomplished businessman with diverse experience, a lawyer, and a political commentator, and he’s been a vocal opponent of Obamacare and supporter of critical, pro-growth economic policies that Democrats and many Republicans simply don’t comprehend. (Seat open.) WEBSITE: https://www.cottonforcongress.com/

Ted Cruz (Texas – Senate) – Ted Cruz, described by the National Review as “a great Reaganite hope,” has been a forceful advocate for conservative values for years.  As a lawyer and the youngest Solicitor General in the U.S., Cruz fought for his home state in critical cases of interest to all conservatives. Cruz’s personal story is remarkable and inspiring: Cruz’s father immigrated to Texas from Cuba, and in spite of significant obstacles Cruz went on to complete his education at Princeton University and Harvard Law School.  Ted Cruz is a reliable conservative, and he’ll be a strong, reliable voice for Texans and conservatives alike in the U.S. Senate. Dan Liljenquist (Utah – Senate) – Dan Liljenquist is campaigning to de-throne longtime RINO incumbent, Sen. Orrin Hatch.  Liljenquist has a fascinating, diverse background in Utah’s private and public sectors, where he’s consistently tackled difficult and seemingly impossible problems like pension reform and Medicare reform with principled conservatism, energy, innovation, and success. Liljenquist was also the 2010 and 2011 “Taxpayer Advocate of the Year” for 2010 and 2011 by the Utah Taxpayer’s Association.  Liljenquist’s opponent, the irksome and tedious Orrin Hatch, has a long history of abandoning conservative values and Utah voters, and it’s time for a new voice. Wayne Pettigrew (Oklahoma – 2nd C.D.) – Wayne Pettigrew is a former Oklahoma State Representative and a native of eastern Oklahoma with deep roots in the region. Dan  is an accomplished entrepreneur with key experience in the life and health insurance field, which is sorely needed in the Obamacare debate in Washington, and an experienced legislator who knows how to get things done.  Wayne Pettigrew is a proven reformer and a true public servant who takes pride in representing conservative values and voters. Carl Wimmer (UT-4th C.D.) – Prior to the passage of Obamacare, Carl Wimmer recognized the danger it posed and became one of the earliest and most vocal critics of the law before and after it was forced through Congress in 2010.  Wimmer, a former police officer, is tough, determined, and principled – and the kind of steadfast conservative we need in Washington.  ROCPAC is proud to support Carl Wimmer in this newly-created Congressional seat.  WEBSITE: https://carlwimmer.netboots.net/contribute

A Message from ROCPAC

Voters across the country are ready to send a message to President Obama and his cohorts that cannot be clearer: Obamacare, and the thicket of regulations, tax increases, and bureaucracy it spawned, is an irresponsible mess that should never have been passed, and it must be repealed.

Around the country, and in elections at every level of government, hundreds of candidates are pledging to fight for smaller, responsible government.

ROCPAC was proud to play an important part in the incredible results and conservatives' wins in 2010, and in 2012 we’re going to continue the fight, one seat and one election at a time.  In fact, 2010 was only the beginning….

With Obamacare on the ropes and the critical first steps toward repeal being taken, our mission for 2012 is to fight for the right candidates who pledge to use their vote in Congress to fight for repeal.

We’re keeping an eye on the critical Senate races in 2012, and we’ll fight for the right candidates in primary fights. We’re also watching all House seats with an eye toward further gains in 2012.  And, of course, our mission takes us directly to the critical fight for the GOP nomination for President.

November 6, 2012 will be a monumentally important day for our country, and ROCPAC is gearing up to again make sure that our voices are heard by candidates and at the polls.
